Topper
Topper is an American fantasy-comedy television series that aired from 1953 to 1955 on CBS, based on the novel by Thorne Smith and the 1937 film of the same name. The series stars Leo G. Carroll as Cosmo Topper, a stuffy bank president whose life is turned upside down when the ghosts of George and Marion Kerby take up residence in his home. The ghosts, visible only to Topper, drag him into one comic misadventure after another as they try to do good deeds to earn their way into heaven. The series was one of the first supernatural comedies on television and paved the way for later shows like Bewitched and I Dream of Jeannie. Several episodes are in the public domain.
