Hal Roach Studios

American film studio founded in 1914 by producer Hal Roach, the home of much of silent and early sound comedy. The studio produced Harold Lloyd's features, including Safety Last! (1923), and later the Laurel and Hardy and Our Gang series, distributing through Pathé and MGM.
