Judge Roy Bean is an American Western television series that aired in syndication in 1956, starring Edgar Buchanan as the legendary frontier judge Roy Bean, the self-proclaimed "Law West of the Pecos." The series follows Bean's eccentric administration of justice in the Texas frontier town of Langtry, where he served as judge, justice of the peace, and saloon keeper. Based loosely on the real historical figure, the series blends Western action with humor and frontier color. Produced by Screen Gems, the series ran for 39 episodes.
