Screen Gems

American television production and distribution company, a subsidiary of Columbia Pictures. Screen Gems produced and syndicated numerous television series from the 1950s through the 1970s, including Sheriff of Cochise, Judge Roy Bean, and Father Knows Best. The company was a major force in early television syndication, distributing programming to local stations across the country.
