1920s Films

The 1920s are the richest decade in the HibingeTV catalog. Silent cinema reached its technical and artistic peak in this decade, and a large share of what was produced is now in the public domain. The collection covers German expressionism, Soviet montage, Hollywood studio features, and the first experiments with synchronized sound at the end of the decade. Because these films predate 1929, they are all public domain in the United States, which is why the catalog is so deep here.
