The Atomic Brain
A 1963 American science fiction horror film also known as Monstrosity, directed by Joseph V. Mascelli. A wealthy elderly woman, Mrs. March (Marjorie Eaton), funds the experiments of Dr. Otto Frank (Frank Gerstle), who uses an atomic reactor in her basement to transplant brains between bodies. Mrs. March wants her brain transplanted into the body of a beautiful young woman, and three European girls are lured to the mansion as candidates. The experiments go horribly wrong — one woman receives a cat's brain, another becomes a zombie — and the film culminates in the destruction of the laboratory. The film was shot in 1958 but not released until 1963 after the production company went bankrupt. It was later featured on Mystery Science Theater 3000.
