The Atomic Brain

A wealthy old woman funds a mad scientist's illegal experiments in brain transplantation, hoping to have her own brain placed in the body of a young woman. She imports three foreign housekeepers as candidates while the scientist's atomic-powered equipment produces a failed, bestial experiment locked in a cage. Also released as Monstrosity, The Atomic Brain is a cheap, absurd horror picture that has earned a cult reputation for its strangeness. The film is narrated throughout by an uncredited voice, and the science is nonsense even by the standards of the era. It entered the public domain and circulates on budget compilations.
