Captain Z-Ro
Captain Z-Ro is an American children's science fiction television series that aired from 1955 to 1956, starring Bob Hastings as Captain Z-Ro, a scientist and explorer who travels through time using his time machine to observe and sometimes intervene in historical events. Each episode finds Captain Z-Ro and his young assistant Jet journeying to a different moment in history, meeting figures such as Christopher Columbus, Daniel Boone, Marco Polo, and Robin Hood. The series was aimed at a young audience and combined educational content with adventure, in the tradition of other 1950s children's programming. Though produced on a modest budget, the series has developed a cult following among fans of early television. All known episodes are in the public domain.
