American actor best known for playing Captain Z-Ro in the 1955 children's science fiction television series. Born in 1925, he had a long career in radio, television, and voice acting. His role as the time-traveling scientist Captain Z-Ro made him a familiar face to a generation of young viewers. He later appeared in numerous sitcoms and provided voices for animated series including Batman: The Animated Series.
