The Brain That Wouldn't Die

A surgeon crashes his car and saves his fiancée by keeping her severed head alive in a tray of fluid in his laboratory. While she grows increasingly unhinged and telepathically commands a monstrous experiment locked in the closet, he scours the city's nightclubs and back alleys for a body to attach to her. The Brain That Wouldn't Die is a sleazy, low-budget cult film that became a staple of late-night television and was later mocked on Mystery Science Theater 3000. Its mix of mad-science horror and exploitation is pure early-1960s B-picture. The film entered the public domain through non-renewal of its copyright.
