Sintel

A 2010 animated fantasy short film and the third "open movie" produced by the Blender Foundation. Directed by Colin Levy and created entirely with Blender and other free/open-source software, the film follows Sintel, a lonely young woman who befriends a wounded baby dragon she names Scales. When Scales is taken by an adult dragon, Sintel embarks on a perilous quest across years and continents to find her lost friend — leading to a devastating conclusion. The film, its production files, and all source assets are released under a Creative Commons Attribution license, making it freely available for distribution, remixing, and reuse.
