Africa Speaks!

A documentary-style expedition film combining genuine footage from Paul L. Hoefler's 14-month, 14,000-mile trek across Africa with staged scenes filmed in Los Angeles, narrated by Lowell Thomas. Directed by Walter Futter, the film was a surprise hit that captured the sounds and sights of African wildlife and tribal cultures. The film entered the public domain through non-renewal.
