Studio One
Studio One is an American anthology drama series that aired from 1948 to 1958 on CBS, one of the most prestigious programs of television's golden age. The series presented live television adaptations of classic novels, plays, and original stories, featuring works by authors including Shakespeare, Dickens, and Dostoevsky. Studio One was known for its high production values and literary ambition, earning multiple Emmy nominations and helping establish television as a serious dramatic medium. The series launched the careers of numerous actors and directors. Several episodes are in the public domain.
