Schlitz Playhouse
Schlitz Playhouse is an American anthology drama series that aired from 1951 to 1959 on CBS, sponsored by the Schlitz Brewing Company. The series presented weekly half-hour dramas covering a wide range of genres, from suspense and romance to comedy and adventure. Over its eight-year run, the show featured performances by many notable actors and adapted stories from popular magazines and original teleplays. The series was a staple of CBS's programming lineup throughout the 1950s. Several episodes are in the public domain.
