English actor, born William Russell Enoch in 1924. Best known for playing Sir Lancelot in the British television series The Adventures of Sir Lancelot (1956–1957) and for originating the role of Ian Chesterton, one of the first companions in Doctor Who (1963). He had a long career in British theatre and television. He died in 2024.
