Roy Rogers

American singer and actor, born 1911. Known as the "King of the Cowboys," Rogers starred in over 100 Western films and became one of the most popular figures in American entertainment during the 1940s and 1950s. He starred in The Roy Rogers Show on television from 1951 to 1957, alongside his wife Dale Evans and his horse Trigger. He died in 1998.
