Johnny Mack Brown

American actor and athlete, born in 1904. An All-American football player at the University of Alabama before entering films, he became a leading man in late-silent and early-sound cinema. He starred opposite Mary Pickford in Coquette (1929) before finding a long career in B-westerns through the 1940s. He died in 1974.
