Howard Marion-Crawford

British character actor best known for playing Dr. Watson in the 1954 Sherlock Holmes television series opposite Ronald Howard. Born in 1914, he had a long career in British film and television, often playing military officers and authority figures. His Watson was a capable and loyal companion, more in the Nigel Bruce tradition of affable bumbling but with moments of genuine insight.
