American character actor, born 1905. Best known for playing the cantankerous banker Theodore J. Mooney on The Lucy Show (1962-1968) and Harrison Otis Curtis on Here's Lucy (1968-1974). His blustery, authoritarian persona made him the perfect foil for Lucille Ball's comic chaos. He died in 1995.
