Snowbeast

A 1977 American made-for-television horror film directed by Herb Wallerstein from a teleplay by Joseph Stefano (co-creator of The Outer Limits and writer of Psycho). A bloodthirsty Bigfoot-like creature terrorizes a ski resort in the Colorado Rockies during the town's annual Snow Carnival. Former Olympic skiing champion Gar Seberg (Bo Svenson) and his wife Ellen (Yvette Mimieux) arrive seeking work, only to find vacationers disappearing. The resort owner (Sylvia Sidney) tries to keep the killings secret to protect her business, while the sheriff (Clint Walker) blames a rogue bear. One of the many Jaws-inspired creature features of the late 1970s, the film is notable for its POV monster shots and location filming in Crested Butte, Colorado.
