Theo Shall

German actor, born in 1894. He appeared in German and German-language Hollywood films in the early sound era, often playing solid, working- class roles. He played the sailor Matt Burke in the German-language version of Anna Christie (1930), opposite Greta Garbo. He continued acting in German films into the 1940s. He died in 1949.
