Sammy Petrillo

American comedian born in 1926 who performed as the comedy half of the duo Mitchell and Petrillo, with an act built on imitating Jerry Lewis. He co-starred with Duke Mitchell in Bela Lugosi Meets a Brooklyn Gorilla (1952), playing himself. Lewis reportedly sued over the resemblance, which curtailed the team's career. Petrillo continued to work in nightclubs and television for decades.
