Austrian-born stage and film actor, born in 1862. A celebrated performer in the European and American Yiddish theater, he appeared in several Hollywood films in the 1920s. His most notable screen role was Rabbi Cominsky in *His People* (1925), directed by Edward Sloman. He died in 1930.
