Richard Carlson

American film and television actor, director, and screenwriter (1912-1977) who starred in numerous 1950s science fiction and horror films, including Creature from the Black Lagoon (1954), It Came from Outer Space (1953), and Tormented (1960). He also directed and wrote for television, including episodes of the western series he starred in.
