Richard Basehart

American actor, born in 1914. A intense, precise performer at home in noir and drama. His films include Fourteen Hours (1951) and He Walked by Night (1948), where he plays the cold, methodical cop killer. Later in his career he starred in the television series Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea.
