Ray C. Smallwood

American film director and cinematographer of the silent era. He began behind the camera as a cameraman before moving into directing, helming several of Alla Nazimova's features including Camille (1921). He also continued to shoot films, bridging the director and cinematographer roles common in early Hollywood.
