Phil Rosen

American film director born in 1888 whose career stretched from the silent era into the 1940s. Rosen directed Spooks Run Wild (1941), the East Side Kids comedy that paired the gang with Bela Lugosi. He directed dozens of B-pictures across many genres, including mysteries, westerns, and comedies, for studios such as Monogram and Universal.
