Paul Jarrico

American film producer and screenwriter (1915-1997) who was blacklisted during the McCarthy era. He produced Salt of the Earth (1954) with director Herbert Biberman and writer Michael Wilson, all of whom had been blacklisted. The film was made independently, outside the Hollywood studio system, and was suppressed upon release.
