Noel M. Smith

American film director, born Noel Mason Smith in 1893. He began his career as a special effects technician before moving into directing at Warner Bros., where he specialized in action pictures and worked frequently with the canine star Rin Tin Tin. He directed Clash of the Wolves (1925), one of the best-regarded Rin Tin Tin films. He continued directing B-pictures and shorts through the 1940s.
