Ned Sparks

Canadian-American actor, born in 1885. Known for his distinctive raspy voice and deadpan delivery, he became a popular character actor in early sound films, often playing cynical, sarcastic figures. His roles include the crime author Tom Howell in Conspiracy (1930). He appeared in dozens of films through the 1930s. He died in 1957.
