Nancy Kulp

American actress (1921-1991) best known for her role as Jane Hathaway, the efficient secretary on The Beverly Hillbillies (1962-1971). Before acting, she worked as a journalist and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. Her character's unrequited love for Jethro was a running gag throughout the series. She later ran unsuccessfully for Congress in Pennsylvania in 1984.
