Mitchell Lewis

American stage and film actor, born 1880 in Syracuse, New York. A baritone-voiced character man of the silent screen, he often played heavies, kings, and soldiers, including Herod Antipas in Salomé (1923) and the Woggle-Bug's antagonist in several fantasy serials. He continued into the sound era in supporting roles. He died in 1956.
