Mildred Harris

American film actress, born in 1901. She began as a child actor in Griffith productions such as Hoodoo Ann (1916) and became a leading lady of the late silent era. She was briefly married to Charlie Chaplin. Her career declined with the coming of sound, though she continued to appear in smaller parts. She died in 1944.
