Marguerite Clark

American film and stage actress, born in 1883. A Broadway child-star turned feature performer, she signed with Famous Players and became one of the most popular silent screen actresses, at times rivaling Mary Pickford. She starred in Snow White (1916), a film that reportedly inspired Walt Disney's later adaptation. She retired from the screen in 1921. She died in 1940.
