Margarete Schon

German film actress, born in 1895. She is best remembered for playing Kriemhild in Fritz Lang's two-part Die Nibelungen (1924), one of the iconic roles of German Expressionist cinema. She worked primarily on the German stage and screen through the 1920s and 1930s. She died in 1992.
