Lya De Putti

Hungarian film actress, born in 1899. A star of German cinema in the early 1920s, she appeared in films for F.W. Murnau and Fritz Lang before coming to Hollywood, where she appeared in The Sorrows of Satan (1926) for D.W. Griffith. Her American career was brief. She died in 1931.
