Lillian Roth

American actress and singer, born in 1910. A child performer who became a Paramount contract player in the early sound era, she appeared in The Love Parade (1930) and a handful of other musicals. Her career was short, undone by alcoholism, and she later told her story in the memoir I'll Cry Tomorrow, which became a 1955 film starring Susan Hayward. She died in 1980.
