Judith Anderson

Australian-British actress, born in 1897. A celebrated stage actress who also worked in film, best known as Mrs. Danvers in Alfred Hitchcock's Rebecca (1940). She plays the somber sister in The Red House (1947). She was made a Dame Commander in 1991.
