John Maxwell

British film producer and executive, born in 1888. He was the head of British International Pictures (BIP), one of the leading British studios of the late silent and early sound era. He produced Alfred Hitchcock's Blackmail (1929) and several other Hitchcock films of the period. He died in 1962.
