John Boles

American actor and singer, born in 1895. He was a leading man in early sound musicals and dramas, valued for his trained tenor voice. He appeared in King of Jazz (1930), Rio Rita (1929), and Frankenstein (1931) as Dr. Waldman. His career faded as the musical vogue of the early 1930s passed. He died in 1969.
