Joe Cook

American vaudeville comedian and stage actor, born in 1890. Known for his extravagant comic stunts, he starred in the Broadway hit Rain or Shine and recreated his stage role in Frank Capra's 1930 film adaptation, his screen debut. He continued in vaudeville and radio. He died in 1959.
