Jane Powell

American singer and actress. Born in 1929, Powell was a soprano who starred in a number of MGM musicals in the late 1940s and 1950s. She is best known for playing Milly in Seven Brides for Seven Brothers (1954) and Ellen Bowen opposite Fred Astaire in Royal Wedding (1951). She continued to perform on stage and television for decades. She died in 2021.
