Jackie Gleason

American comedian, actor, and musician, born 1916. Best known as the star of The Jackie Gleason Show and The Honeymooners (1955-1956), one of the most influential sitcoms in television history. He also starred in the first season of The Life of Riley (1949-1950) as Chester A. Riley. His film roles include the Minnesota Fats in The Hustler (1961) and Sheriff Buford T. Justice in the Smokey and the Bandit films. He died in 1987.
