Henry Fonda

American film and stage actor whose career spanned five decades. He starred in The Grapes of Wrath (1940), 12 Angry Men (1957), and On Golden Pond (1981), for which he won an Academy Award. During World War II he served in the U.S. Navy and narrated John Ford's The Battle of Midway (1942).
