Harold Lloyd

American actor, comedian, and producer, born in 1893, one of the three great masters of silent comedy alongside Charlie Chaplin and Buster Keaton. He was known for his "glasses character," an ordinary, ambitious young man, and for the famous building climb in Safety Last! (1923). He produced his own films and performed his own stunts, despite losing two fingers in a prop accident early in his career.
