Gustav von Wangenheim

German actor and director who played Thomas Hutter in Nosferatu (1922). He was a member of the German Communist Party and made socialist films after leaving acting. He fled to the Soviet Union during the Nazi era and returned to East Germany after the war, where he worked in theater.
