Gloria Swanson

American actress and producer, one of the most prominent stars of the silent film era. She starred in numerous Cecil B. DeMille films including Why Change Your Wife? (1920) and Male and Female (1919), and is best remembered for her comeback role as Norma Desmond in Sunset Boulevard (1950).
