Gertrude Olmstead

American actress of the silent era, born in 1897. She appeared in roughly fifty films between 1920 and 1929, often in leading-lady roles opposite stars such as Rudolph Valentino. Her best-remembered performance is as Mary Burton in Cobra (1925). She retired from the screen after marrying director Robert Z. Leonard in 1926.
