Germaine Dermoz

French actress, born 1887 in Paris. A stage and screen performer who worked with the Film d'Art movement and the Russian émigré studio Albatros, she is best remembered today for her lead role in Germaine Dulac's The Smiling Madame Beudet (1923). She appeared in French films through the 1910s and 1920s and continued acting into the sound era. She died in 1966.
