Georgia Hale

American actress of the silent era, born in 1900. She is best remembered as the dance-hall girl Georgia in Charlie Chaplin's The Gold Rush (1925), a role she took over after Chaplin's first choice left the production. She also appeared in Chaplin's later work and in a handful of other silent features before retiring from the screen as talkies arrived.
